Helen was an amazing host. She got in contact with me immediately after I booked the airbnb and was responsive throughout my stay. I was in Charlottesville for a birthday weekend getaway with friends. She welcomed me with a few goodies and put a birthday flag outside her home — an exciting surprise.
We went out downtown and to Veritas winery (both were ~15-20 mins away by car). We also hiked to humpback rock and Bold Rock Brewery during our stay. Both were gorgeous and 40 and 20 mins away by car, respectively. The pictures don’t do this house justice. It is way more spacious than I imagined. It was also very clean. The deck is massive and my friends and I enjoyed grilling out one night. We also had a bonfire in the fire pit behind the house and roasted marshmallows. There is plenty of parking and the kitchen is fully equipped. I’ve already recommended the house to my friend for her next trip to Charlottesville in the fall.
